Size-Guide
Our abayas are sized by length. The size number is the garment's length in inches, measured from the shoulder seam straight down to the hem — so a size 54 measures 54 inches from shoulder to hem.
Every piece is cut with a relaxed, generous line through the body and sleeve, so the length is what you are choosing. Width is not something you need to size up for.
How to find your size
- Wear the shoes you would normally wear with an abaya — heel height changes the drop considerably.
- Stand straight and have someone measure from the top of your shoulder, beside your neck, straight down to the floor.
- Take one to two inches off that measurement so the hem sits just clear of the ground, and choose the nearest size below.
Size chart
| Size | Length, shoulder to hem | Approximate height |
|---|---|---|
| 52 | 52 in / 132 cm | 5'2" – 5'4" |
| 54 | 54 in / 137 cm | 5'4" – 5'6" |
| 56 | 56 in / 142 cm | 5'6" – 5'8" |
| 58 | 58 in / 147 cm | 5'8" – 5'10" |
| 60 | 60 in / 152 cm | 5'10" – 6'0" |
The height column is a starting point only. Torso and leg proportions vary between people of the same height, which is why the measured length is the more reliable of the two.
If you are between sizes
Choose the longer of the two. An abaya that falls slightly long reads as intentional; one that sits short is harder to wear. A longer piece can also be taken up by a tailor, which is a simple alteration on a straight hem.
Not every size is cut for every piece — the sizes available for a particular abaya are the ones shown on its product page.
